HOUSEPLANTS
“Houseplants is a self-produced musicians’ collective based between Edinburgh & Glasgow.
They are an intersectional project open to working with artists and musicians from all communities. Their music is experimental, rooted in Rap and Post-Rock; but genres like Jazz Hip-Hop, Jazz Fusion, and Neo-Soul are heavily explored. The project is lead by local Rap Artist ‘jayda,’ (known for their work with Hen Hoose) who values intersectionality and support for marginalised people in the music industry - as a Trans Nonbinary,
Coloured South African Immigrant themselves - and founded Houseplants alongside Bass player & Lead Producer Aiven Moorhead in 2020, releasing their first song ‘Colder’ on Bandcamp and Soundcloud."
