Senyawa is an experimental music duo made up of Rully Shabara (extended vocal technique) and Wukir Suryadi (homemade instrument). The music that they create is a combination of extended vocal technique and a homemade instrument. The instrument was handcrafted by master instrument builder Wukir out of one long piece of bamboo, it is a string instrument with guitar pick-ups—it is amplified and processed through several effects pedals but at times is played as an acoustic instrument, percussion and string instrument.
They are located in the ancient city of Jogjakarta, Central Java, Indonesia and their music is a reflection of their traditional Javanese heritage filtered through a framework of contemporary experimental music practices. Senyawa try to push the boundaries of both traditions in an attempt to mix the musics’ of the east and the west to create a new sound.
Frankie is the solo project of Franziska Aigner, consisting of a solo cello and vocal set combined with a hyper-emotional lyricism. Often working in choreography and performance, the past few years have continuously brought more and more music to her life. She performed in and co-wrote the music to FAUST by Anne Imhof, which was awarded the Golden Lion at the 2017 Venice Biennale. The music to FAUST was released as a LP on PAN in 2019. In 2019 she also joined Holly Herndon’s vocal ensemble, performing the album 'PROTO' around the world. Franziska continues to work and perform with artists such as William Forsythe and Austin Jack Lynch, while completing a PhD in philosophy of technology.

Kyalo is a Glasgow-based musician and audio-visual artist, primarily working across studios and international stages as a multi-instrumentalist with alt-pop band The Ninth Wave and free jazz ensemble The Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra. In his solo work, the liminal spaces between sound and vision are explored through performance and installation. Improvisation through generative and aleotoric processes constructs soundscapes eliciting bliss and melancholy.
