PERSPEX

Perspex are an art-pop/rock’n’roll band based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. To put it somewhat simply Perspex are like asbestos bubblegum, a sponge cake in a slaughterhouse, divine students of the radio sound drowning in a world of their own. Their sound is informed by a mixture of jangly guitar music, 70s pub rock and 60s girl group pop with the marriage of sugary hooks and sonic chaos being the wasp in the vienetta.

As of recent Perspex have a new album that they recorded with Chris McCrory at Greendoor Studios. This record is an eclectic mix of their material covering loads of different genres but never straying too far from their signature 60s influenced art-rock sound.
