Pop Mutations are excited to present Evita Manji

Athens-based musician and vocalist Evita Manji makes music that sits between contemporary club music, and baroque pop; exploring themes of biology, quantum physics, the natural world and our impact upon it.

After a slew of singles released on their own imprint myxoxym, Manji released their debut full-length “Spandrel?” on PAN earlier this year. The complex dichotomoies and relationships that Manji explores in their music plays out in the careful balance between opposing elements. Melancholic and ethereal vocals float above bright digital synths and cacophonous club-ready percussion, choral washes are gated and chopped into pointed rhythms.

In recent years Manji has performed at renowned festivals such as Unsound and Rhizome, sharing stages with the likes of Eartheater and Amnesia Scanner. Last year Manji was also selected as one of SHAPE platform’s SHAPE+ artists for 2022-23, alongside Perlia and Marina Herlop.
