Pop Mutations presents Enxin/Onyx Enxin/Onyx is the collaboration between Hiro Kone’s Nicky Mao and Tommi Tokyo aka Tot Onyx, formerly of the band group A.

After an appearance on Berlin Atonal’s “More Light” compilation with the thundering track “DIN DIAN”, the duo made a return last year with their debut EP “Dorothy”. The EP demonstrates a careful balance between chaos and order: inharmonic tension gives way to delicate soundscapes, moments of unmetered discord are gradually pulled into repetitive grooves, dissonant synths and metallic percussion cut through uneasy drones and warped vocals.

If you’ve had the pleasure of witnessing any of Nicky’s performances for us as Hiro Kone over the last few years, you’ll know that this is one that’s not to be missed.
